Nominations Sought for The 2010 Donegal Star Awards

When it comes to people who do outstanding good work in their communities Donegal is one of the counties that shines. Over the last few years the Face Of Ireland Competition realised that it was time to recognise these people who do outstanding good work big and small. After the initial first two years of the awards ceremony, people throughout the year contacted the offices of the Face of Ireland with their own stories to tell. With the helpful thanks of the local media we are now seeking to hear your stories of the people who you think deserve to be recognised for this year’s award cermony which has been kindly sponsored by Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey which has just been awarded the title of the 2010 Wedding Venue of The Year. We are looking for people that make the difference, people that care and together the people that change the lives of others. Speaking ahead of the awards Brian Cunningham of Face of Ireland said that he felt it was important that these people are recognised. Many of the these people work tiredlessly everyday and quietly but this is a channe for you the readers to recognise them and we believe that they should be recognised. We are also looking for the heroic stories out there where people put themselves at risk to help others. There is a few simple ways on how you can nominate that person. You can write a letter to the Panel of Judges, 2010 Donegal Star Awards, Face Of Ireland Offices, Ummerawirrinan, Teelin, Carrick, Co. Donegal or you can email awards@faceofireland.com . Your nominations should include your name, your address, a contact number and the person you want to see recognised and the reason you believe that they should be recognised at the award ceremony on Friday the 23rd April at Jackson’s Hotel.
