Jacksons Hotel in Ballybofey will be the venue for the Donegal Heat of The Face of Ireland Competition this Friday 28th of May.

Eligible young Irish women are invited to compete for the prestigious title “The Face of Ireland”, and the opportunity to represent Donegal at the 2010 Face of Ireland final which will be held in November.

The Competition is in its third successful year and is based on the value, charm and grace of Irish beauty. The competition has become a prominent springboard for talents in to the highly competitive world of fashion and modelling. Speaking ahead of the show Brian Cunningham Managing Director of Face of Ireland said “We are delighted to be in the home county again this year and have received a enormous response from the local girls”

He also said that over the next 9 months over 4000 people will be coming into the county because of the competition which is not funded by Failte Ireland or Donegal County Council and which will have immense benefits for the local businesses.

The winner of the competition will receive a host of prizes, including an all expenses paid trip to New York and a one year modelling contract with prestigious Compton's Modelling Agency in Dublin, as well as a fabulous piece of Jewellery to the value of €2500. Twenty two year old Heather Mc Ardle from Co. Cavan is the reigning Face of Ireland and is represented by John Compton of Compton Modelling Agency in Dublin
